Oddest free download announced.
By Erik Brudvig
If you were looking to mark your calendars with the day Activision and Blizzard began combining licenses to leverage their popularity, get out your markers. Today Activision and Blizzard announced that a free downloadable track for Guitar Hero III will be made available on June 26 on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network.
The song "I am Murloc" was composed by Blizzard Entertainment's house band, Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain and debuted at BlizzCon 2005. The song, for those not in the know, is described as a "tongue-in-cheek tribute to the beloved race of fish-people."

The third-most difficult stadium in America is down South.
By Bill Barnwell
The latest of our look at the toughest stadiums in America takes us to the third-ranked stadium of the Florida Gators, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. You'll probably know it better as "The Swamp".
It's named as such because of a Steve Spurrier quote: "...a swamp is where Gators live. We feel comfortable there, but we hope our opponents feel tentative. A swamp is hot and sticky and can be dangerous. Only Gators get out alive."
Surprisingly, this is the first time that Home Field Advantage has been included in an NCAA Football game without "The Swamp" being ranked #1. We'll reveal the new number one on Friday.
Sometimes, Gators make it out alive and with the football. In this next clip, we show the hawks of the Gators defense coming away with a key turnover.

A character announcement, screens, and a Comic-Con panel.
By Greg Miller
This morning, Midway slammed our inboxes with enough Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe news to make our spines leap from our backs.
To begin with, the videogame company delivered the first in-game screenshots along with some brand new renders -- check'em out below. That's cool and all, but the bigger news is that the Flash is in those screenshots. That's right, he might have been unannounced before, but we now know that Barry Allen or Wally West or Bart Allen is in this game as the Flash.
Also, the scarlet speedster apparently can't keep up with Scorpion.
Along with the art and Flash, Midway also announced that it is planning a panel for the game at the San Diego Comic-Con. Friday, July 25, 2008, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon and comic book writer Jimmy Palmiotti will be on hand for "Worlds Collide: The Making of Midway's Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe." Aside from chatting about how the game came to be, Boon and Palmiotti will also offer an exclusive look at never-before-seen gameplay, unveil some new characters, and host a Q&A session. If you make it into the 11:15 a.m. panel, you'll also get an exclusive, limited edition Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Comic-con 2008 poster.
See you there, fellow nerds!
